The Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana covers a vast area, including a large section of the Okavango Delta as well as Chiefs Island. The most visited part of the Moremi Game Reserve is the land-based part of the reserve in the north-east, which is accessible by air to Xakanaxa Airstrip, or by road in a 4x4 vehicle from Maun. Game viewing in the Moremi Game Reserve is fantastic all year round.

There are a number of lodges in the north-east of the Moremi, which offer both land-based and water-based activities. Lodges based within the Moremi Game Reserve generally do not offer night drives or bush walks, and no off-road driving is permitted. Most of the lodges are tented safari camps.
