Botswana is one of the most popular safari destinations in Southern Africa and there are hundreds of safari lodges and luxury tented camps available. Wherever possible, one of us has personally visited these lodges.
Most of these lodges are remote, accessible only by light aircraft. Others are seasonal and closed when the water levels become too high. Each one offers an exceptional, all-inclusive safari experience.

Baines' Camp
Baines' Camp is a small and intimate luxury camp nestled in the tree line on the banks of the Boro River, in Botswana's Okavango Delta. This minimal-impact lodge is situated in a 260,000-acre private concession area, adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. Game drives are in open 4x4 vehicles which drive off-road and at night. Each of the six intimate suites has been craftily constructed from recycled material and buffalo dung and offers sweeping views over the river and surrounding bush.
Belmond Khwai River Lodge
Belmond Khwai River Lodge is a luxury safari lodge on the banks of the Khwai River overlooking its floodplain. It's situated on a private concession just outside the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. It is one of the few luxury tented lodges in Botswana that has air-conditioning, and the game viewing in the Khwai River area is absolutely superb.
Camp Moremi
Camp Moremi is a serene tented camp at the edge of the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana. Renowned as one of the best game-viewing areas in Botswana, the Xakanaxa area surrounding this camp offers you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Okavango from open 4x4 vehicles, motorised river boats or even from your private viewing deck.
Camp Okavango
Camp Okavango, situated in the heart of Botswana's Okavango Delta on the secluded Nxaragha Island, is a wetland paradise offering excellent game viewing all year round. This luxury tented camp accommodates 24 guests and each room has its own private deck overlooking the Okavango. The main lodge is built from thatch and lethaka (reed) and offers a cocktail bar, a wildlife reference library and dining room which leads onto a spacious open patio.
Camp Xakanaxa
Camp Xakanaxa is well-established, popular tented safari camp accommodation in the Moremi Game Reserve, built in a prime location overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon in Botswana's Okavango Delta. It's one of the few Okavango lodges that offers year-round water- and land-based activities in a superb game-viewing area.
Chief's Camp
Chief's Camp is an idyllic luxury safari camp and one of only two lodges situated on Chief's Island in Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta – the only place in Botswana where rhinos can be found in their natural environment. The area around Chief's Island is seasonally submerged by floodwaters and offers exceptional game viewing all year round. Chief's Island is home to the Big Five and is known as the "predator capital of Africa".
Chobe Game Lodge
Chobe Game Lodge sits on the banks of the Chobe River in Botswana's diverse Chobe National Park and is the only permanent game lodge in this area. Its 44 rooms all overlook the Chobe River and Caprivi floodplain. For those looking for ultimate exclusivity, there are four luxury suites, each with its own private plunge pool and viewing terrace. Chobe National Park is home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa and offers spectacular game viewing all year round.
Chobe Marina Lodge
Chobe Marina Lodge is situated just outside the Chobe National Park in Kasane, Botswana. The lodge provides luxury accommodation with beautiful views over the Chobe River. Chobe Marina Lodge offers a variety of activities, including open-vehicle game drives in the Chobe National Park, or game viewing by boat along the Chobe River, reputedly the best boat-based game viewing in the world. This lodge is reasonably priced and can easily be combined with nearby Victoria Falls for an unforgettable safari.

Chobe Safari Lodge offers luxury, yet affordable, safari accommodation in the Chobe area, overlooking the Chobe River. Situated in Kasane, Botswana, Chobe Safari Lodge is a large resort-style safari lodge bordering the Chobe National Park, which is famous for its excellent game viewing.
Chobe Under Canvas
Chobe Under Canvas is an intimate, luxurious mobile tented camp in the northern half of the game-rich Chobe National Park in Botswana that provides guests with a unique and unforgettable safari experience. The six spacious tents accommodate a maximum of 12 guests.
DumaTau Camp
DumaTau Camp is an intimate, luxury safari tented camp overlooking an enormous lagoon in Botswana's northern Linyanti area.
