Rra Dinare Camp, Moremi, Botswana
Set on the southeastern side of Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana overlooking the Gomoti River and its floodplain, Rra Dinare Camp is within a private concession of over 270km². This pristine, relatively new camp offers an array of game-based activities: mokoro trips, boating safaris, game drives both on- and off-road, night drives and bush walks.

There are eight spacious, luxury tents, one of which is a family tent, as well as a guide’s tent. All en-suite with outdoor showers, these tents look out over the Gomoti River and its riverine surrounds. Each unit has a spacious, private game-viewing patio.
Main Camp
Comfortable and airy, the thatched main camp has a lounge and dining area although many meals are al fresco and enjoyed around the campfire at night.
Rra Dinare is unpretentious, welcoming and relaxed. You can unwind and enjoy the natural surrounds, watching the comings and goings of wildlife and birds from the comfort of your armchair or barstool. There’s also a swimming pool and curio shop.
Game Activities
At Rra Dinare, you’re often spoilt for choice. You can enjoy game drives (by day and night) in this private concession adjacent to Moremi Game reserve. The vehicles are allowed off road to get closer to sightings and there are only six per vehicle to give you each an outside seat with space enough for your belongings. On night drives, both a driver and tracker will accompany you.
Depending on the season and local conditions, water activities, boat and mokoro trips and game walks can be arranged.
Getting There
It is a 20-minute chartered flight from Maun (the main entry point to the Okavango Delta) and 1 hour, 20 minutes from Kasane to the local airstrip.
From here, it’s a 45-minute trip to the camp, with game viewing starting immediately.

Superbly located near Moremi and the swamps, yet on a private concession, Rra Dinare grants you more game-viewing flexibility with options to do night drives and off-road adventures. It’s a very pretty setting and the water-based activities (seasonal) also add to your overall safari experience. A good camp to combine with others to get a different perspective of Botswana’s many offerings.
