Tours and Safaris to Zanzibar

A tour to Zanzibar will usually include a day or two in the bustling historic city of Stone Town. Here, Africa meets Arabia and harkens back to the heady days of the trade routes and sultans. It's noisy and busy and fascinating!

From there, you'll head to one of the island resorts, either on Zanzibar Island which is the biggest in the archipelago, or a smaller island, depending on what you're looking for. They all boast spectacular white sandy beaches, the warm Indian Ocean and island hospitality.

Activities available include spice tours to island farms where cloves, cinnamon and vanilla are grown on plantations of bananas, oranges and breadfruit.

Snorkelling, deepsea diving, windsurfing and paddling are but four of the many beach activities on offer. Of course, you can just chill under a palm tree on the beach and watch the dhows float by.

We have no scheduled safaris that include Zanzibar as a destination but can include an island stop on a tailor-made Tanzanian safari itinerary. We recommend spending at least 2 nights on Zanzibar.
