Customisable Safari Package Overview
This customisable safari package lets you tailor your trip to suit your preferences. You can swap the order of destinations, adjust the duration of your stay, and select accommodations that fit your budget or upgrade to a more exclusive luxury African safari itinerary. This itinerary is based on mid-range accommodation at Victoria Falls and Cape Town, along with a mid-range-priced 5-star private safari lodge in Greater Kruger's Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, offering an exceptional safari experience at excellent value.
Victoria Falls (3 Nights)
Kick off your journey with three unforgettable nights at Victoria Falls, one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Known as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" or "The Smoke That Thunders," the falls stretch over 1,700 metres, creating the largest curtain of water on earth.
Victoria Falls Highlights and Practical Information
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome upon arrival at Victoria Falls. You'll be met by a friendly local guide, who will assist you to the waiting vehicle for a short transfer to your hotel. Included in your stay is a guided tour of the falls, a Zambezi River sunset cruise, and traditional dining experiences that showcase local flavours.
For thrill-seekers, we can arrange optional activities such as helicopter flights over the falls, whitewater rafting, or a day trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana. Simply let us know your preferences, and we'll tailor the arrangements to suit your interests.

Microlight flight over Victoria Falls
We're often asked whether we recommend staying on the Zambian or Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls. In our experience, both sides are safe and worth visiting, but the Zimbabwean side offers more spectacular views, especially during the dry season. Approximately two-thirds of the falls can be viewed from Zimbabwe, while the Zambian side provides a closer look at about one-third of the falls, which tend to dry up in October and November.
High water season runs from December to July, making it the best time to experience the falls in full flow, while low water season allows for clearer visibility of the geological formations. If you'd prefer to stay on the Zambian side, just ask us to recommend accommodation options that suit your preferences.
For a detailed comparison of the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides of Victoria Falls, including the best times to visit each side and the day tours and activities available, check out our blog post here.
The easiest way to get to Victoria Falls is by a direct two-hour morning flight from Johannesburg.
Cape Town (4 Nights)
Next, fly to the vibrant city of Cape Town, nestled between iconic Table Mountain and the ocean. Known as the Mother City, Cape Town offers a rich blend of cultural experiences, scenic landscapes, and world-class attractions, including the Cape Winelands, Cape Point, and stunning beaches.
Cape Town Highlights
Cape Town is a city like no other, with its breathtaking natural beauty, rich cultural history, and vibrant culinary scene. Highlights include taking the cable car up Table Mountain for panoramic views, visiting the Cape of Good Hope for a scenic coastal drive, exploring the lush Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and enjoying a wine-tasting experience in the renowned Cape Winelands. The V&A Waterfront offers a lively mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment, while Cape Town's pristine beaches, such as Clifton and Camps Bay, are perfect for relaxing or taking in a sunset. Whether you're looking for adventure, culture, or relaxation, Cape Town has it all.
