Hi Gavin! I want to tell you that we had a fantastic trip, full of different experiences, places, animals, people, food, etc. This would not have been possible without your personal involvement and support, attention to detail, sense of urgency and objectivity. I have never worked with a group of people so dedicated and concerned with the traveller's needs. Literally, we did not have a single glitch during our time in SA, not only that, it was made even better with the whole involvement of the Wild Wings team when I got myself into trouble.
I want to make a special mention to Nicky Firer who worked us like clockwork and persevered to make sure we got in all the sightings and places in Kruger. She sure understood the importance of keeping to a schedule. After we reflected on everything we had seen with her it all clicked. We really appreciated her deep knowledge and love for the work she does.
So although a quick note does not capture everything you did for us, I again want to congratulate the whole team on your support and professionalism. Be sure you have a Wild Wings advocate in Mexico and will make every effort to promote SA over here. Again many thanks and hope to see you soon back in SA!
From Frans, Mexico, travelled with us during June 2019
A guided safari in Kruger Park (using the national park camps) is quite different to a safari at a private game lodge. Both have their advantages. This trip idea combines two nights in Kruger, followed by two nights at a private game lodge for you to experience the best of both worlds. All game drives in open vehicles with expert and knowledgeable guides.
Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge is situated in the Balule Game Reserve, within the Greater Kruger National Park. The lodge is affordable, warm and intimate and offers comfortable accommodation in African-style thatched rondavels and family units. The lodge has beautiful lawns and huge trees, and overlooks the bush and a distant waterhole.
The Kingdom Hotel is located in the Victoria Falls National Park, and is closer to the famous Victoria Falls than any other hotel in the area. It offers luxury 4-star accommodation at reasonable prices, and is in a convenient location near shopping centres, restaurants and Victoria Falls International Airport. The Kingdom is modelled after the great Zimbabwe monument, and features a beautiful man made lake set in lush tropical gardens. Completing this luxurious African experience, is the surrounding Park's wide variety of game, including elephants.
Contemporary convenience at its best, the 3-star Peermont Metcourt Hotel at Emperors Palace offers comfortable rooms, with quick-and-easy access from Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport, just minutes away. A courtesy airport shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes.
Situated in Gladiator Street, Rhodesfield, Premier Hotel O.R. Tambo is 1.2 km from the airport and only 800 metres from the Rhodesfield Gautrain (rapid rail) station, with connections to Sandton City taking a mere 12 minutes. The hotel also offers a complimentary airport shuttle.
