This area is known as the "predator capital of Africa" and game viewing is rewarding all year round. Chiefs Camp offers game drives on open 4x4 Land Cruisers, led by professional guides in the early morning or late afternoon. No night drives are permitted since the area falls within the Moremi Game Reserve. When water levels are high between April and September, mokoro (dug-out canoes) excursions are offered through the maze of surrounding waterways.
Chiefs Camp main lodge, built into the existing landscape, is split into two levels and offers expansive views over the northern floodplain. The main lodge houses the reception, the dining area, bar, curio shop and library. There is a swimming pool on the lower level, with recliners overlooking the floodplains. To add that extra element of luxury, Chiefs Camp offers a range of beauty treatments by an experienced resident therapist. For those who need to stay in touch with the rest of the world during their safari, Chiefs Camp has wireless satellite internet access.
