Hamiltons Tented Camp captures the essence of a classic explorers camp from the 1800s. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to evoke the nostalgia of that era. From the antique silver cutlery that adorns the tables to butlers on call, the Hamiltons' experience is steeped in timeless, old-world elegance. The camp's six beautifully-appointed, air-conditioned tents among the Jackalberry trees have en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers. Teak floorboards, gauzy mosquito nets, freestanding baths, private plunge pools and river views from private verandas capture the whimsical romance of the early 19th-century safari explorers Hamiltons Tented Camp is known for.
The Game Viewing Experience
Hamiltons Tented Camp is situated inside the Mluwati Concession, a 10,000-hectare private wildlife reserve in Kruger that serves as a crossing point for zebra, wildebeest, and buffalo herds. Leopards frequent the riverine areas on the concession, and impressive lion, cheetah, African wild dog, rhino, giraffe, and elephant sightings provide safari guests with an exceptional game-viewing experience. Game drives are conducted twice daily in open safari vehicles by qualified, English-speaking field guides, and guests who want to explore the smaller wonders of the African landscape on foot can join Hamiltons' guiding team on a bush walk.
