Luxurious and private
Each of these suites boasts their own private plunge pool and viewing deck as well as air-conditioning, mosquito nets and overhead fans. The en-suite facilities include an indoor and outdoor shower and feature an array of bath salts and bathroom amenities. There is a fully-stocked mini-bar, hammock and pool lounger for guests to enjoy.
Wonderful wildlife safaris
Activities at Leopard Hills Private Game Lodge are led by professional resident guides who are willing and available to impart their vast knowledge and love of the Leopard Hills area. Game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles, ensuring maximum visibility. Morning and evening game drives are on offer for guests to get up close and personal with the diverse wildlife in the reserve. Walking safaris can be arranged as well as highly recommended three-course bush breakfasts.
Fantastic food and drink
The common guest area at Leopard Hills features a main deck with umbrellas for guests to relax under in the heat of the day. An open-air veranda is an ideal spot to sip on a cocktail and admire the view or alternatively, guests may indulge in a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. Drinks before or after dinner can be enjoyed in the bar and lounge or by the warmth of the fire in the boma.
Meals are served in the dining room which boasts a beautiful view over the waterhole. Alternatively, they may be enjoyed alongside the crackling fire in the open boma area. Full English breakfasts are served on the main deck and lunches are served under big umbrellas on the pool deck. Dinners may be accompanied by a choice of wine from the world-class wine cellar.
Rest and relaxation
For those looking to relax in and around the camp, there is a library area that offers the opportunity to browse through various African journals and a selection of literature. There is a television and an array of African wildlife documentaries for those eager to learn more.
A secluded alcove within the library area provides 24-hour Internet access for those guests wanting to keep in touch with the outside world. The lodge boasts its own well-stocked curio shop for guests to browse through a wide selection of African memorabilia.
The newest edition to Leopard Hills Private Lodge is the treatment sala and gym. Guests may make use of the gym equipment or treat themselves to a massage from the vantage point of the main pool deck. Treatments can be arranged in the privacy and comfort of your own suite.
Getting there
By road - It takes about 6 hours by road to reach Leopard Hills from Johannesburg.
By air - There are daily scheduled flights from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg with Federal Airlines to Leopard Hills' Ulusaba Airstrip. Alternatively, you can fly to Hoedspruit Airport and it's a 2-hour drive from there to Leopard Hills.
