Day 1 to Day 4
Tafika Camp, South Luangwa
Upon arrival at Mfuwe International Airport, transfer to Tafika Camp by road (1.5 to 2 hours) or a 15-minute flight to Mwanya/Lukuzi Airstrip (additional cost). Situated on the banks of the Luangwa River, Tafika Camp features six spacious, en-suite thatched chalets, offering an intimate and authentic safari experience next to the beautiful Nsefu Sector of South Luangwa National Park.
Enjoy uncrowded day and night game drives in open safari vehicles, guided bush walks, and unique mountain bike safaris with highly skilled safari guides. Visit the nearby Mkasanga cultural village and local school supported by Tafika and savour excellent food from the camp's kitchen garden, freshly prepared daily.

Some of the wildlife you can expect to encounter on your game drives and walking safaris in South Luangwa National Park includes leopard, Cape buffalo, spotted hyena, lion, elephant, hippo, Nile crocodile, warthog, puku, impala, greater kudu and eland. Keep an eye out for Thornicroft's giraffe, Cookson's wildebeest and Crawshay's zebra, unique to the Luangwa Valley and found nowhere else.
Day 5 to Day 7
Mwaleshi Camp, North Luangwa
Transfer to Mwanya/Lukuzi Airstrip and board a charter aircraft for your FREE FLIGHT to Mwaleshi Camp, set on a scenic bend of the Mwaleshi River in North Luangwa National Park. Experience a pristine wilderness area with few roads, where the game-viewing experience focuses on fully immersive bushwalks and walking safaris.
Stay in one of four thatched chalets with open-air, en-suite bathrooms and uninterrupted river views, and enjoy early morning and late afternoon guided bushwalks, tailored to the group's abilities, with tea and coffee breaks.

On your bushwalks, you can expect to encounter vast herds of buffalo, lions, Cookson's wildebeest, and unique bird species like the chestnut-mantled sparrow weaver and the white-winged starling. Day 8
Departure
Board the charter flight back to Mfuwe International Airport for your connecting travel arrangements.
Important: As with most light aircraft charters in the area, you're limited to 15kg luggage, preferably in a soft bag (e.g. duffel-type).
