An amazing time in South Africa
From Honeymoon couple, David & Eugenia Gonzales from Fiji, travelled with us during December 2013
To start, we had an amazing time in South Africa (we are already talking about perhaps going back next year!). Everything from pick-up to departure was seamless and smooth. We were very pleased with all of our accommodations as well. The Peermont in Johannesburg was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast in the morning was fabulous. It was also nice having the convenience of walking to all the shops and restaurants in the complex. With our particular schedule, it was also nice being close to the airport.
The safari was one of the best experiences of our life. Neil was an absolutely amazing guide. His wife, Valerie, also came along, and the two of them were great hosts. We shared a lot of good conversation over the delicious meals Neil and Valerie cooked and our daily tea breaks. We were also able to see an abundance of animals. The night ride was great; we came up close and personal with four lions! We were both looking forward to the morning walk, but unfortunately Genia caught a cold and did not sleep well that night, so we had to miss it. It rained two of the days we were in Kruger, so that was the only downside. Otherwise, no complaints!
Cape Town was equally amazing. Sean was the driver who picked us up and took us back to the airport. He was very friendly and always on-time. We very much enjoyed The Rouge on Rose, and Ursula and Michelle were great hosts and were extremely helpful in arranging day activities and providing recommendations for dinner and entertainment.
We were overall very pleased with the quality of service we received from Wild Wings. We greatly appreciate all of your help in making our dream vacation come true. We hope to work with Wild Wings again in the future when we return to South Africa!
Best wishes,
David and Genia
Fantastic!
From Stephanie, Australia, travelled with us during December 2013
We just got back from our holiday and had a lovely time.
Gomo Gomo Game Lodge was fantastic! We wished we stayed there longer. The staff and rangers, accommodation, meals there were excellent and we saw all the big 5.
Thank you again for all your help booking this trip, we will definitely come back to you when we book our next trip to Africa.
Cheers,
Stephanie
Outstanding Job
From Barbara, USA, travelled with us during December 2013
I just wanted to send you a note and let you know you did an outstanding job with our trip. Everything went as scheduled without any problems and we all enjoyed it very much. Other than a few days of rain, everything was perfect. Thank you very, very much.
Absolutely amazing ...
From Michael, John and Brigid, USA, travelled with us during December 2013
Simply to say that our trip was absolutely amazing. Everything worked perfectly and we felt so lucky to be the only members of the group. Simon was extremely friendly, helpful and above all knowledgeable, and that made the whole experience brilliant. And yes, we had some incredible sightings, right from the very first day! I suppose that means we were lucky, but I know that without such an experienced guide we would never have seen so much. We were very happy with all the accommodation too, starting with Marben Manor, and Simon's cooking was a real bonus. Please thank him for coping with veggie food!
Altogether the trip was absolutely unforgettable and we won't hesitate to recommend Wild Wings to anybody wanting to visit Kruger. I have a feeling we might even be back ourselves at some point in the not-too-distant future!
Thank you for your help in making a dream come true!
Best wishes and all the best for 2014.
I am already daydreaming about repeating the same trip ...
From Alex Kostich, USA, travelled with us during December 2013
I just wanted to send a note of thanks (along with a few photos) of my amazing trip to Cape Town (not to mention the rest of my vacation in Johannesburg and Kruger). Ending the trip in such a beautiful seaside city was the 'icing on the cake,' and I really enjoyed my tours with Shawn, who was terrific.
I know that I must have driven you crazy with all my emails and questions in the months leading up to the trip but I assure you that you've left me with the most wonderful impression of South Africa and I will certainly return…in fact, I am already daydreaming about just repeating the same trip next Christmas! I would move to Cape Town in a heartbeat if I had a way to support myself abroad, but perhaps it's a goal to look forward to in eventual retirement. Truly a breathtaking place with wonderful people all around.
I've attached a few photos here of the shark dive and some other highlights, I could easily inundate you with thousands more from the safari portion of the trip but I'm sure you've seen enough of those in your job!
Take care Dianne and I will be sure to contact you again should I be fortunate enough to return to South Africa (it can't be soon enough!).
Sincerely,
Alex
Did not want to leave ...
From Craig Brunetti, USA, travelled with us during December 2013
I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with our safari. It was much better than what I had imagined. Everything went smoothly (hotel in Johannesburg, transfers). The accommodations at Lower Sabie were great. We had such a nice time that we did not want to leave. We are thinking about a longer safari in the relatively near future. I would be more than happy to use Wild Wings again or to recommend them to anyone heading to South Africa.
Our guide, Frank Watt, was terrific. He is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and prepares a wonderful braai. You can see that he loves his work. I cannot compliment him enough.
Thank you so much for all of the hard work you put into planning our safari and making it a truly memorable experience. Bravo for a job well done.
Kind regards,
Craig
One word -- Awesome!!
From John Reen & Inga Ruskule, Ireland, travelled with us during November 2013
Your knowledge, experience and organisational skills were completely in evidence from the first e-mail contact. All necessary information was provided well in advance in a clear and concise manner, including our special requests for hotels, car hire and data in support of our visa application. Armed with this information, I felt quite confident that our trip would go smoothly and so it proved to be. Our guide (Simon) was an excellent host, good humoured, extremely knowledgeable, helpful in every way and an excellent chef to boot!
Transfers were faultless, timely and comfortable. Our accommodation was comfortable and perfectly adequate for our needs. Meals (cooked by Simon) were excellent, convivial affairs which lent an old-world charm to the safari experience. The experience of evening meals on the verandah while listening to the wildlife and watching the sunset will live in my memory for ever.
Game viewing was exceptional. To see the Big 5 twice in the space of three days must surely rank as unique, while the additional bonus of sighting a Leopard as we exited Kruger Gate on our final day was absolutely wonderful. I do not believe that our exceptional game viewing was purely by chance, rather more due to the professionalism and experience displayed by Simon.
I want to especially thank you and all the team for your efforts in attempting to locate the jacket lost by Inga. While it was one of her favourites, she agrees that the safari experience was well worth the loss!!
In short - our experience with Wild Wings was excellent throughout, remarkable value for money and to be repeated at the earliest opportunity.
Many Thanks to you and everybody,
Best Regards
John
We spent perfect time ... Thank you for everything.
From George & Katy Plotnikov, Russia, travelled with us during November 2013
We spent perfect time en route you have arranged for us.
Thank you for everything.
Transfers were on time, accommodations were perfect and your staff was very skilfull and helpfull.
We found the Lower Sabi Camp in Kruger Park to be very cosy and comfortable, as well as Hippo Hollow County Estate Hotel. At the Iniaty Lodge we had excellent fivestars's opportunity for relaxation and new experience in offroad safary.
We are sending our special "thanks" for Syman, Gavin and George (our Iniaty guide).
Gavin was with us along "The Panorama Route" and gave us usefull information and helped in everything.
Syman's skilfullness in rangering is amazing. He stoped and explained us everything we asked for.
We appreciated his yearning for show us as much as possible at the Kruger's. We had seen all Big Five and even all Big Seven :-) - cheetahs and wild dogs.
He is the best cooker in South Africa as well.
We had our first safary and had a great expirence.
We will undoubtedly recommend your company to our friends to connect to.
Looking forward for a next our possible journey with Wild Wings,
Sinserely,
Kate & Georgy
One of the best guides we have ever had!
From Dan & Linnia Munro, USA, travelled with us during October 2013
We just wanted to write and say thank you for everything. The entire safari was incredible. Simon was one of the best guides we have ever had in all of our travels. He really made the trip perfect. We were sad to only have a few days with him.
Nottens bush camp was perfect! Thank you very much for the recommendation. It was a lot nicer than either of us expected and everyone there was so nice. We also really enjoyed chatting with the two drivers that transferred us. They were both very nice and made the drive fun.
All in all we had an incredible time and the only thing we would change is to have stayed longer on each part.
Thank you again!
The Best Nature Guide Ever
From Bill & Joanne, USA, travelled with us during September 2013
I wanted to take a few moments to tell you how much we enjoyed the safari with Wild Wings that we took in Sept-October and thank you for all the hard work you did in setting this up.
Frank Watts is perhaps the best guide we have ever had for a nature tour. And a great chef as well. The accommodations in Kruger exceed my expectations, and the price was very reasonable as well.
We took over 3,000 photos, as you can see, we saw plenty of wildlife. Now that I have had time to go through them, we can begin to show them to our friends. Where there is interest, I will refer them to Wild Wings.
Bill

Hi Dianne!
This has been one of the best travel experiences of my entire life!! We absolutely LOVED South Africa and hope to return as soon as our travel funds will allow. The lodges were more than we could have dreamed of, the people are wonderful and the wildlife literally brought me to tears!
