Elegant and understated luxury
Motse Camp has six suites that can sleep two guests each and three family suites that can sleep up to four guests each. The family suites consist of two bedrooms sharing a living room. All bedrooms are spacious and have a seating and study area, an open fireplace, an en suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor, open-air showers and a private, waterhole-facing sundeck. Other luxury amenities include a gourmet snack pantry stocked with homemade delicacies, a personalised minibar, bean-to-cup coffee and a selection of teas.
Waterhole-facing main camp
The Motse's sprawling main camp looks onto a waterhole that draws wildlife, particularly during the long dry season. There is a main guest lounge and dining area with a stone fireplace, a mezzanine library, a wine cellar, a photographic studio, a fully-equipped gym, a spa and a boutique shop. Covered, elevated outdoor terraces lead to a sundowner firepit, a large outdoor swimming pool, a smaller solar-heated, waterhole-facing pool and a traditional boma.
Malaria-free and child-friendly
Children under the age of 12 stay for free with their parents at malaria-free Motse Camp (maximum two). Complimentary babysitting, flexible dining times and special boma meals for families, a children's menu, guided horse trails and private game drives form part of Motse Camp's commitment to involving the whole family in their conservation ethos.
Other child-friendly activities include learning how to make traditional bows and arrows, archery, learning how to identify spoors and make spoor casts, guided bushwalk, learning how to track wildlife on foot and with technological aids, picnics and baking.
Getting there

Our take on Motse Camp
Motse Camp is a contemporary luxury safari lodge that offers exceptional service and marvellous food. The Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve's changing landscapes are strikingly beautiful and the game-viewing experience is intimate and rewarding. Not only did we spot a cheetah and her cubs but we also spotted the critically endangered and incredibly rare pangolin on one of our night drives. It's easy to think you have the entire reserve to yourself when you realize you hardly spot any other vehicles when you're out on your game drives. The meerkat encounter was another highlight.
