20 Years of Safari Magic: A Journey of Passion, Purpose, and Wild Places
Once upon a time in Africa, Wild Wings Safaris began with two passionate travellers, a cherry-red minibus, and a dream to share the magic of African wildlife with the world.
Fast forward 20 years, and our story has evolved into something extraordinary — a team of dedicated safari experts, incredible guides, thousands of unforgettable journeys, and an international community of happy travellers who've trusted us with their African adventures.
To celebrate two decades of doing what we love, the entire Wild Wings Safaris team (except our amazing Kirstin, who's holding the fort!) is heading off on a very special journey to Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park from 17 to 25 May 2025. It's a chance for us to reconnect, reflect, and continue learning — just like we did ten years ago when we celebrated our 10-year anniversary in Madikwe.
From the Recession to Recognition

We didn't always know we'd get this far. Like many small businesses, we weathered the 2008 recession, the 2014 Ebola outbreak, and the 2020 pandemic with grit and determination. There were quiet seasons, unexpected challenges, and moments of uncertainty. But what got us through was our unshakable belief in honest advice, personal service, and the value of genuine travel experiences.
Today, we're thankful to God for this amazing journey, and humbled yet proud to be an owner-run, award-winning company, consistently top-rated on platforms like TripAdvisor. And that recognition hasn't come from flashy advertising or mass tourism tactics — it's come from trust, expertise, and real relationships with our clients and partners.
Why Victoria Falls?

Why are we going to Victoria Falls for our 20th? Because it's one of Africa's most iconic destinations — and like us, it's a place where nature, adventure and storytelling meet. During the trip, our team will visit top lodges in Victoria Falls and Hwange, building deeper, first-hand knowledge to better match you — our clients — with the right experiences.
For us, this trip is not just a celebration. It's a recommitment: to staying curious, to learning constantly, and to giving you nothing but our very best.
What This Means for You

While we're away, response times may be slower than usual, especially for detailed, tailor-made proposals. But rest assured, we'll be back shortly, recharged and ready to help you plan your perfect safari. If you're happy to wait, we promise it'll be worth it. And if you need urgent help, Kirstin is on standby to assist.
We'll return to our desks on 26 May, full of fresh ideas and inspiration.
Here's To the Next 20 Years

Thank you to every client, partner, and friend who has supported Wild Wings Safaris over the last two decades. Whether you've travelled with us once or many times, you are part of our story. Here's to the next chapter — and to the wild, wonderful places still waiting to be discovered.

Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is the most spectacular sight anywhere in Africa. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, this huge curtain waterfall lies on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, where the mighty Zambezi River plunges 108 metres down into a narrow gorge, creating a waterfall that is a mile wide. A visit to Southern Africa is not complete without a trip to Victoria Falls. The falls can be visited from the Zambian or from the Zimbabwean side. The town on the Zambian side is called Livingstone, and the town on the Zimbabwean side is also called Victoria Falls. Both locations are safe, popular tourist destinations with good infrastructure and a variety of accommodation options.

Hwange National Park
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's largest and most popular game reserve; arguably the best safari destination in Zimbabwe. There is a wide variety of habitats and vegetation types, including dry Kalahari-type bushveld, mopane shrubland, acacia savanna, huge open grasslands, vast wetlands and teak forests. This diversity attracts a variety of wildlife, making Hwange an excellent choice for an African safari. It's also close to Victoria Falls and the two destinations can easily be combined in one safari itinerary.

10 Day Zimbabwe Adventure Safari
Our 10 Day Zimbabwe Adventure Safari explores three of Zimbabwe's top game viewing destinations - on foot, by safari vehicle and on water. From wildlife-rich Hwange National Park and Matusadona National Park on the shores of Lake Kariba to unspoilt Mana Pools, this authentic safari is big on adventure and game viewing.
