Savuti Camp
Savuti Camp is a luxurious tented camp, raised up on stilts to overlook the scenic Savuti channel which itself is a bit of an enigma. It flows strongly for many decades only to disappear and then reappear many years later, bringing an abundance of wildlife in its wake. The channel has been flowing since 2008, creating an established, game-rich area in one of Botswana's remote and unspoiled wildlife sanctuaries, Kwando/Linyanti Reserve.
Highlights
- Savuti Camp is elevated and offers excellent views for miles
- An abundance of game, especially in the dry season (June to August)
- Prolific elephant population and many plains animals
- Small, exclusive camp with seven luxury tent-and-thatch units

- Plunge pool on spacious wooden deck

Savuti Camp is in Botswana's northern Kwando/Linyanti region: known for its vast, unspoiled vistas and abundant wildlife. Perched on stilts with a spacious and relaxing viewing deck, Savuti offers unsurpassed views over the Savute channel.
Luxury Accommodation
Savuti Camp consists of only seven luxury, fully en-suite thatch-and-canvas tents (one of which is a family unit): all with views out over the Savute from their private viewing decks.
Elegant Main Camp
The main camp has a spacious lounge and dining area, perfect for relaxing. The sprawling, raised viewing deck offers unbeatable views of the Savute channel and surrounding grassy plains. There's a refreshing plunge pool on the deck for hot summer days, and a fire-pit for cosy evenings around the flames.
Excellent Variety for Game Viewing
Elephants abound at Savuti Camp. Besides numerous plains animals, you can expect to see zebra, the shy roan antelope and giraffe and their hunters: lion, leopard and wild dog. You have two game-viewing activities daily, which could be day and night game drives, a bush walk with an experienced ranger or a canoe trip (seasonal) to spot all the animals as they come down to drink at the river.
Getting There
As with most of the remote safari lodges and tented camps, the only way to get to Savuti Camp is by light aircraft. Please speak to us about staying at a few lodges within the group and getting discounted flights.

Kwando, Linyanti & Selinda Private Reserves
This vast, unspoiled wilderness area in Botswana's northern region comprises the extensive Kwando/Linyanti River system. Game-rich and scenic, this area is more remote than some of the other game reserves in Botswana. It offers private, informal safaris without any of the restrictions of national parks. Expect night game drives, bush walks, off-road game drives, canoe and mokoro game viewing and even horseback riding safaris.
Chobe National Park
The Chobe National Park is one of the most popular game reserves in Botswana. Situated in the far north of Botswana, Chobe includes the Savute and Linyanti regions which are known for high concentrations of lion and elephant. However, Chobe is best known for the Chobe River floodplain, where herds upon herds of animals gather in the dry season between June and October. The game reserve is most easily accessed from Kasane, a town just to the east of the park on the banks of the Chobe River, close to the border with Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls.
