Set inside the National Park in a 12,000 ha private wilderness concession area, sharing a 15km unfenced boundary with the famous Sabi Sand reserve. The concession is noted as an excellent game viewing area. Rhino Walking Safaris specialises in game walks, affording guests exciting proximity to animals in their natural environment, always accompanied by an experienced armed guide with extensive bush knowledge and tracking skills. Rhino Walking Safaris also has exclusive use of some of the Kruger National Park's public roads for evening game drives.

Rhino Walking Safari's offers 3 lodges or camps, enabling you to combine luxury and basic tented accommodation for the ultimate safari experience!

The luxurious Rhino Post Lodge is set on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed. This elegant 8 suite lodge was built using only natural materials such as wood, stone, thatch and canvas. The swimming pool and lounge both overlook an active waterhole. The suites have been built on raised stilts, allowing glorious views of the Mutlumuvi riverbed. Each spacious suite has an overhead fan, modern en-suite bathroom, private outdoor shower and private viewing deck.

For a real 'Out of Africa' experience, Plains Camp offers 4 very comfortable, explorer-style tents, with extensive views of the surrounding wide grasslands of the Timbitene Plain. These luxury tents are fully serviced, en-suite with hot running water and overhead fans. The common area includes a friendly lounge and dining area, outside fireplace (boma) and small plunge pool.

For guests looking for an unrivalled wilderness experience, Rhino Post offers a unique interactive sleep out experience for the slightly more adventurous. The 'Sleep Outs' are built on elevated platforms. Guests arrive by foot and are provided with bedding and mosquito nets. While dinner is prepared on an open fire, enjoy sundowners whilst overlooking the waterhole, listening to the sound of elephants and lions passing by. Please note that sleep-out activities are dependant on the weather. Please also note that the first guests booked on a specific safari will be given the choice of making use of the sleep-out option or not. All subsequent bookings will be subject to the itinerary booked by the original guests. If the guests making the first booking do not wish to make use of the sleep-out option, it will not be available to other guests booked on the same safari either. However, should the original guests book the sleep-out option, all subsequent bookings will be required to participate in the sleep-out option.

The daily activities will either be game drives or walking trails. In general, game drives are mostly conducted from Rhino Post Lodge, while walking trails are conducted from Plains Camp as well as Rhino Post. A combination trail of 3 days, 4 days or 5 days is the most popular way to experience Rhino Walking Safaris.
