Responsible Tourism

The &Beyond Group is pro-active in its conservation and community upliftment programmes. The lodges in Phinda have a small ecological footprint. The basic values of: “Care of the land. Care of the wildlife. Care of the people,” are interwoven into their daily operations. There are large-scale conservation projects involving leopard, endangered rhino and ranger training; a major focus on education with the building of schools and classrooms, training, providing bursaries and adult education; creating employment with sustainable vegetable gardens and sewing co-operatives; providing health care clinics; recycling, alternative energy and clean water sources are among their numerous projects. Please speak to any of the staff if you’d like to get involved.
