Intimate, Luxury Accommodation
Kings Pool Camp has nine luxury tents – one of which is a family unit – looking out over the Kings Pool oxbow lagoon. Each unit has a spacious bedroom-cum-lounge with a luxury bathroom that has twin showers and twin hand basins, plus an outdoor shower, private wooden viewing deck with a plunge pool and thatched sala (awning).
Spacious Main Lodge
This comprises a comfortable lounge and spacious dining area and bar all on raised wooden decks. There is an inviting pool to cool off in during the midday heat and the viewing deck is geared for simply sitting and watching the theatre of the bush from sunrise to sunset.
Excellent Game Viewing
Kings Pool Camp vehicles are specially designed to seat only two across, so you always get an 'outside' seat. Because Kings Pool is a private concession, there is more game viewing freedom than in national parks where strict rules apply. Here, you can enjoy game drives during the day and in the evening; the vehicles can go off-road to get up close to game sightings; you can go on bush walks with armed and experienced rangers, and there are two hides for great photographic opportunities and enjoying the prolific birdlife.
Minimal imprint
Kings Pool Camp is 100 percent solar powered. The lodge is designed for minimal impact on its surrounds and the Kings Pool community is very involved in conservation and research projects in the area.
