There are many other options you can book at your hotel or reputable adventure centre offices in town.

Other popular activities include canoeing, cycling, bird-watching, boat cruises, abseiling, bungee jumps, bridge swings, fishing trips, general sightseeing, golf, helicopter or microlight flights over the Falls, quad biking and loads more.

Our take on Ilala Lodge

A sprawling, gracious, spacious lodge with lovely views out over the Falls. It's very special to see animals like warthogs, bushbuck and elephants come to graze on the expansive lawns in front of you. The food is superb, the staff friendly and welcoming and it's very well located - walking distance to the Falls and close to town.

It has a lovely 'kick back and relax' atmosphere. Easy to recommend; it's not hard to see why it's one of our consultants' favourites.

"The Smoke that Thunders"

Victoria Falls is the most spectacular sight anywhere in Africa. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, this huge curtain waterfall lies on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, where the mighty Zambezi River plunges 108 metres down into a narrow gorge, creating a waterfall that is a mile wide. A visit to Southern Africa is not complete without a trip to Victoria Falls. The falls can be visited from the Zambian or from the Zimbabwean side. The town on the Zambian side is called Livingstone, and the town on the Zimbabwean side is also called Victoria Falls. Both locations are safe, popular tourist destinations with good infrastructure and a variety of accommodation options.
