Traditional ethnic style Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge is situated in a 10,000-hectare concession in the world-renowned Kruger National Park, South Africa. Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in six luxury Tsonga huts. Painted in earthy tones and decorated with artefacts from the local community, you'll experience true comfort in African style. All suites are air-conditioned and include a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower. Each suite has a private deck from where guests can take in the beauty of the Mluwati River and the surrounding area's abundant wildlife.
Main lodge
Three spacious thatched salas, which transform into a romantic dining setting by night, are positioned for maximum views around the lodge. The lodge offers a variety of facilities and services to ensure that guests enjoy a relaxing stay. You can revitalise yourself at the lodge's spa or take a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Each meal at Hoyo Hoyo is a feast of delicious, traditional cuisine of international standards. Guests can enjoy their breakfast from a potjie pot or sip on a drink served in a calabash. True to African culture, dinner is a wonderfully social event.
Game viewing activities
Game drives on open safari vehicles are conducted through the Kruger National Park twice daily. The area has a great variety of game, including the famous Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The lodge shares the same excellent game viewing area as its sister lodge, Imbali Safari Lodge.
Getting there
By air - Daily flights connect between Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport, Skukuza Airport and the nearby Manyeleti Airstrip. Private charters are also available.
By road - Approximately 6 hours' drive by car, access to Hoyo Hoyo is via Kruger Park's Orpen gate. Road transfers can be easily arranged.
