Feedback and Comments From Our Guests
Simon has been a perfect guide
From Italy, travelled with us during August 2009
Dear Dianne,
We want to thank Wild Wings for the wonderful time we had at the Kruger Safari from August 16 to 20. Simon has been a perfect guide, very active and helpful. We were very lucky because we saw many animals, but our luck was well directed by Simon. We will be very happy to recommend Wild Wings to anybody who wish to visit South Africa.
Best regards,
Paolo and Elena Bettini
Your enthusiasm is addictive
From USA, travelled with us during July 2009
Hi Simon!
We are finally shaking off our jetlag and have accepted the fact that we are no longer on vacation. Thank you for everything, you truly made it a memorable vacation, especially for Amir who was in tears after you left us at the Protea Hotel. He enjoyed being around you more than the safari itself. Personally I (and my wife) enjoyed the "hunt" a bit more. The braais were great as was your endless patience with Amir. Your enthusiasm is addictive and your knowledge completed the whole package making it a wonderful experience. We will definitely contact you again when we plan our next safari. Until then all the best and be well.

I cannot say enough about Simon
From USA, travelled with us during June 2009
Hi Dianne
We had a great time on our safari. I have many positive comments. I truly appreciate your attention once you took over our trip and was very pleased that you emailed me prior to our departure from home and called to make sure Simon had picked us up.
I cannot say enough about Simon. He was fantastic. He was very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and easy to get along with. The kids loved him and we all learned a lot from him. He had a true love for his job and the Kruger Park, and it was infectious. After a full day of game drives he was out looking for scorpions, owls, and bush babies! He truly spoiled us for any future guides and the kids have already said they want to go on another safari with him. We all felt lucky to have been able to have him as our guide. We saw so much more with Simon as our guide and am very glad that we didn't just drive to Kruger on our own.
We also had a good experience at Elephant Plains. The staff was very nice and attentive. Food was very good and rooms comfortable yet cold. The only negative we had was with our guide (Wayne) who seemed to be going through the motions and we got none of the same enthusiasm from him that we felt with Simon. We only spent 2 days there, 4 game drives, but in that time he made no effort to learn our names and to us it seemed that he just drove around and waited for other guides to radio him with sightings. That being said it was a good combination of trips and we are very pleased with how it worked out. When I planned this trip I picked your company "out of the blue" and it all worked out so well. If you ever need me as a reference I would be pleased to help out. We hope to return to Africa in the future and will definetly look to your company first.
Thanks for everything,
Steve, Mary, Will, and Sam Reichel

Our tour guide, Simon, was simply fantastic
From Barbados, travelled with us during June 2009
Gudrun,
We are now back in Barbados after a delightful holiday in South Africa. The Kruger part of the visit was the highlight of the trip, although we thoroughly enjoyed Cape Town as well.
Our tour guide, Simon, was simply fantastic. A great spotter of animals, he made it possible for us to see lions, elephants, cheetah, giraffes, zebras, baboon, buffalo, warthogs, eagles and vultures and numerous species of antelope from very close, as well as a black rhino and many other animals at a distance. He's also extremely knowledgeable about African wildlife and communicated his huge enthusiasm for the animals.
We enjoyed the excitement of setting off in the morning not knowing what we would see that day. He was also a great cook and a highly skilled driver, and was very attentive to all our needs and comfort. I don't know where you found him, but hold on to him. To top it off he tormented us with difficult riddles on the drive back to Jo'burg.
The accommodation at Skukuza camp was just right for the occasion and we enjoyed the brai (washed down with SA wine) that Simon cooked up for us the first night on our balcony. On the whole a wonderful safari and tremendous value for money.
Many thanks and I'll recommend Wild Wings to all our friends.
Peter
