Amazed us at an entirely different level
Hi Madi, Now that our travel is complete, we wish to send so many thanks for a fabulous trip. The second week in Kruger with Neil and in Inyati amazed us at an entirely different level than before.
First, I truly appreciated your commemoration of my birthday with a bottle of sparkling wine. It is a celebration I will never forget!
In Kruger, Neil was an educational and entertaining companion who anticipated all our needs. He made heroic efforts to insure we saw all the big 5 in one day, and provided insightful commentary on many aspects of life in the park beyond just those animals. Neil seemed inexhaustible, and travelers were amazed at the spectrum of wildlife we saw in various settings. In addition to his skills as a guide, Neil sets a lovely table and cooks delicious meals! We also appreciated his suggestions while briefly shopping at a roadside market after dropping off other guests at the Protea Hotel. We left Neil's company with many memorable stories about his knowledge and experiences as a guide in the Kruger area as well as our own adventures.
The follow-up experience at Inyati was beyond what we expected in terms of accommodations and service. From the moment we were greeted by Tessa, it felt like a dream. We loved the peacefulness and charm of our chalet itself, the grounds and the common areas. Omega and Roger (our guide and tracker) were amiable, motivated to ensure we saw a variety of wildlife in the best settings and prepared to answer questions about behavior and habitat - always mindful of our safety and comfort. We even appreciated how the Inyati staff placed us with such congenial companions for the drives. The only thing we could wish for is adding more than 24 hours to the day so we could enjoy even more of the experience.
It is important to add that, after talking to other safari travelers during our trip, we gained an even greater appreciation for the planning and selections you provided for this vacation. We think of how little we knew when we started and how all your assistance with the decisions came together to provide two weeks with such variety, quality and value. My only regrets about my own decisions: not making dinner reservations in Cape Town, not packing the right clothes for dinner in Cape Town, and not buying more ostrich eggs at the street market. Last minute, we did hire a guide suggested by a friend for our last day in Johannesburg, and - while she was fine - I can't help but wonder about the superior caliber of the guide you would have provided based on your other fine selections.
Our next task is to make sure we organize our photos and videos - and then don't bore our friends with repeated stories of our wonderful adventure. Thank you again for helping us plan an amazing experience we could not envision at the start. With sincere appreciation, J&S
