Situated only 3 kilometres from the Kruger's Orpen Gate, Ngala Tented Camp is a luxurious satellite camp of Ngala Private Game Reserve, offering nine deluxe tents on raised platforms with secluded wooden decks. It's an authentic, luxury, African experience - sleeping in luxurious tents while listening to the sounds of the night and its creatures close by.
Main camp
Set on the banks of the great seasonal Timbavati River, Ngala Tented Camp was built with a light footprint, to minimise impact on the environment. Its extensive decks give you wonderful views out over the surroundings and the many animals coming down to drink. There's an inviting rim pool, cosy armchairs to sink into, a roaring fireplace to sit and swap tales around at night and lush bush banquets to enjoy beneath the star-studded skies. There's also a hide at the waterhole, perfect for avid wildographers or just for sitting quietly, unobserved by passing wildlife.
Game activities
Ngala has exclusive traversing rights over 14 700 hectares (36 323 acres) of Kruger's game-rich wilderness to give you an extraordinary African safari experience. Renowned for its superb Big Five game viewing, Ngala offers twice-daily game drives in open safari vehicles with an experienced ranger and expert Shangaan tracker, as well as interpretive bush walks.
