KwaMbili Game Lodge, Thornybush
KwaMbili Game Lodge provides is an affordable private lodge offering an authentic safari experience. Situated in the private Thornybush Game Reserve near Hoedspruit, KwaMbili is within the Greater Kruger area. Home to the Big Five as well as an abundance of wildlife and birds, you'll have every chance of good sightings, either on game drives or on foot.

Two of the chalets have interleading doors, ideal for families or couples travelling together. The third one is separate and more private. The chalets are air-conditioned, en-suite with mosquito nets over the beds and have a small private patio,
The large safari tents are under a thatched roof which provides extra protection, shade and a private patio.
Each has an open-air, en-suite shower and loo. There is electricity and fans are provided in summer.
The camp is unfenced and game may wander freely in the camp. After dark, you'll be accompanied to your tent.
Our Take on KwaMbili
Small and friendly, this lodge is great for close-knit groups, family get-togethers and if you prefer personal service, away from the crowds.
The traversing areas are good, sightings are great and the staff are warm, intuitive and friendly.
Although children are welcome (babysitters are available), children under 6 are not allowed on game drives, nor are children under 14 allowed on guided bush walks for safety reasons.
