Stanley's Camp Tented Camp
Stanley's Camp is a rustic tented camp located off the southern tip of Chief's Island in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. This wood and canvas safari camp is situated in a 260 000 acre private concession, which means off-road driving, bush walks and night drives are permitted. Its remote location ensures exclusivity and provides great game and bird-viewing activities by vehicle, boat or on foot. The camp offers expansive views over the surrounding floodplains.

These upgrades will include 10 new larger tents which will include a compact gym, minibar and coffee station. A new central tent will have a spacious lounge, an outdoor bar area and decks with uninterrupted views over the game-rich floodplains.
Stanley's Camp consists of 8 semi-luxury safari tents, built on wooden platforms. Each unit is comfortably furnished with antique furniture with an authentic African feel.
Guests are able to enjoy views over the surrounding floodplains from the private viewing decks, equipped with hammocks and loungers.
En suite facilities (shower only), ceiling fans and a hairdryer are featured in each unit.
The location of Stanley's Camp ensures excellent game and bird viewing. The area is home to one of the largest populations of buffalo in the Okavango Delta as well as various predators.
Stanley's Camp main lodge is a canvas structure raised on a wooden deck, built around two large trees, with a view over the surrounding floodplains.
A walkway leads to the swimming pool which has even better views over the untamed bush.
Numerous Game Activities
Expert safari guides conduct game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, which are able to go off-road to get closer to the animals. The daily programme includes an early morning game drive, as well as an afternoon game drive which continues after dark with a powerful spotlight.
Guests can also explore the area's waterways by mokoro (dug-out canoe) or by foot on guided walking safaris.
At an additional cost, Stanley's offers a unique elephant interaction experience.
The camp can only be reached by light aircraft from Maun and the flight takes about 10 minutes.
