Private, luxury accommodation

Rhulani sleeps only 18 guests in eight chalets, each positioned to ensure absolute privacy. Spacious and luxurious, each chalet has its own fireplace, air conditioning, en-suite bathroom with an additional outside shower and a private deck offering uninterrupted views out over the reserve.

Superb main lodge

The main lodge is spacious yet intimate with a lounge, bar and library as well as a dedicated kiddies' corner. There's a swimming pool with shaded deck chairs, perfect for relaxing between game drives. Evening meals are often served in the open-air boma (reeded enclosure) by firelight. Intimate, private dinners outdoors can also be arranged. Starry, starry nights are a stargazer's dream.

Excellent game activities

There's plenty to entertain and see at Rhulani. Game viewing is done in open safari vehicles with knowledgeable guides. Bush walks to get a unique perspective of the surroundings are available by arrangement. Madikwe has two distinct biomes which make for a fascinating variety of fauna and flora, so you are often able to see species you seldom see together in other parks. With over 350 bird species, birdwatching is great.

Getting there

By road - It's about a 4 ½-hour journey from Johannesburg. Road transfers can be arranged.

By air - 45-minute daily flights connect between OR Tambo International (Johannesburg) and Madikwe. Private charters are also available.
