On the outskirts of Arusha, the lodge is tucked away from the hustle-and-bustle of town, providing a peaceful place to stay before or after a safari. The property harks back to colonial days, the Plantation House dating back to the early 1900s. This is a coffee plantation, and the theme is followed throughout. The delicious aroma of fresh coffee permeates!

The accommodation at Arusha Coffee Lodge is in 30 Plantation Houses scattered amongst the plantation.

The Plantation Suites offer en-suite bathrooms with bath and triple-headed shower, bathrobes and slippers and in-room WiFi. With a private sun terrace, balcony terrace and log fire-burner, there’s a perfect spot to sit and relax, no matter the weather.

The Plantation Rooms, also en-suite with an in-room wood burner, are nestled amongst the Burka Estate coffee bushes. Comfortably furnished, they also include bathrobes and slippers.

Main Lodge

The main lodge houses the a la carte restaurant, bar and cosy lounge. On cooler winter evenings, open log fires are lit here. There are also two boutiques, a small swimming pool and a beautiful garden terrace where you can sit, drink coffee and enjoy the prolific birdlife in the garden.

Dining

You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to dining here. A scrumptious breakfast buffet is served each morning and a 4-course garden buffet luncheon at lunchtime, in the gardens.

The Bacchus Restaurant offers an à la carte menu for those with a discerning palate. The Executive Chef combines international and local culinary techniques, using fresh local ingredients, to create mouth-watering dishes that’ll have you coming back again and again.

3 Degrees South Bistro offers food 24-hours a day, and if you don’t want to leave your room, you can order room service. Picnic baskets can also be provided for day trips.

Arusha National Park

Don't be fooled by the fact that Arusha National Park is small (552 km2). Within its borders, it has a diverse topography and wonderful wildlife. From the rugged peaks of Mount Meru to the marshy depths of the Ngurdoto Crater where warthog wallow, to monkey-filled montane forest and rolling grassy hills on which giraffe and zebra graze, there's plenty to see here.
