After almost two years of travel restrictions, and a good portion of time spent locked down in our half renovated London flat - we are very excited that to kick off our married life this December, we will be escaping to Tanzania and Zanzibar for what promises to be an unforgettable two week long Honeymoon together.

Lacking fun activities in 2020 (besides wedding planning of course), it’s safe to say we’ve spent a considerable amount of time renovating, painting, and furnishing our flat. Consequently, we’re blessed with all we could ask for in our home. So instead, we have this website where guests can view our full Honeymoon itinerary to see what we have in store for this trip of a lifetime. Please do scroll down to see an overview of our plans. You can also contribute towards our amazing adventure and leave a personal message at the bottom of this page if you wish. We would be grateful for any contributions you can make.

Lots of love, Naomi & Simon.

Naomi and Simon's safari journey

Fundraiser 45

What better way for Simon and Naomi to start off their life together than by a safari adventure to East Africa?

This December, the happy couple will embark on an unforgettable two-week honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar!

See their full itinerary here. Simon and Naomi will fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania and overnight at the beautiful Arusha Coffee Lodge on the outskirts of Arusha. The town of Arusha is the starting point for most safaris in northern Tanzania.

From Arusha, they will travel to the rim of the famous Ngorongoro Crater, and spend two nights at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, with stunning views over the crater. The floor of the Ngorongoro crater is home to an abundance of wildlife, including hippos, elephants, lions, cheetahs, wildebeest, zebra, black rhino and many more species.

On the final day of the year, they will travel from Ngorongoro to the vast plains of the southern Serengeti, famous for the great wildebeest migration. January marks the start of the calving season, and their mobile migration camp is perfectly positioned to witness the mega herds congregating on the open plains where they will soon give birth to the next generation of wildebeest.

Serengeti Hot Air Balloon

The Serengeti from a hot air balloon (optional extra)

The Serengeti is one of the premier wildlife destinations in the world. Being on safari in the Serengeti is an unbelievable experience. And perhaps one of the best ways to see the Serengeti is from above, on a romantic hot air balloon flight (this is an optional extra activity).

After three nights in the southern Serengeti, they will move to the beautiful Olmara Camp, in a remote eastern part of the Serengeti, where the wildlife action is non-stop. Predator sightings are common here, but crowds are not. Olmara Camp is an exclusive, semi-luxury camp with eight stunning tented suites. A spectacular safari destination.

Finally, our happy couple will fly to Zanzibar island, a tropical paradise just off the coast of Tanzania. Here they'll spend five nights at Breezes Beach Club, a lovely resort with its own diving and watersports centre, a variety of restaurants, a bar and a dance floor with live music in the evenings. The beach here is uncrowded and pristine, and the floating deck is perfect for a romantic dinner.
