Amazing from start to finish

Dear Sam, just wanted to say thank you for the work you put into organizing my first trip to South Africa. From start to finish, it was amazing - definitely exceeded my expectations. The itinerary was perfect and we were able to see and do everything we wanted in a short time. All of our activities were very well organized and every transfer on time. The tour guides, drivers and rangers were all very professional and knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed Welgelegen Guest House in Cape Town and highly recommend it; Fiona is such a lovely host. Mabula Game Lodge was also nice; a special thanks to Franz for the wonderful safari experience - awesome. I have already recommended Wild Wings to many of my friends and colleagues. Thanks again.

Fantastic Trip

Our sincere thanks to Clare who arranged all of our bookings, various air tickets etc and to Simon our wonderful Host and Tour guide. We had a fantastic trip both to Kruger Park and Zambia. Simon went out of his way to accomodate our family which consisted of 6 adults and 2 little grandchildren aged 3 and 5. We thoroughly recommend Wild Wings Safaris to anyone who wishes to go on an exciting, wonderful safari. We will be booking with your company again.

Wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful vacation! Arathusa was great. We loved the unit, it was very luxurious, beautifully decorated, and we particularly appreciated the private pool for cooling off in the middle of the very hot days (mid 40's C) and the outdoor shower. It was so cool to shower outside with just a couple of antelope staring back at you from the bush! The Lodge was fine, though definitely a notch or two below the Lion Sands River Lodge (where we had just come from, but Lion Sands is significantly more expensive) in terms of service. The game drives were very good, and our ranger was excellent. We saw everything we wanted, including multiple leopards that we hadn't seen at Lion Sands, cheetahs (their first sighting for almost 2 months), and a very rare sighting of African Wild Dogs. The arrangements worked fine. The transfers were on time, but the vehicle bringing us from Lion Sands to Arathusa had no functioning air conditioning, which made for a very hot drive. That was the only blemish, really.

Exceeded our expectations!!

How was our trip ?? FANTASTIC !!!

We understand that nature has no schedule and that due to the size of Kruger, there is no guarantee on what or when you can see things. But we can honestly say that our trip exceeded our expectations !!  The wildlife is the main reason to go to Kruger, but THE KEY to a successful and most memorable adventure is THE GUIDE.  Simon was exceptional.  Not only was he a walking encyclopedia and wealth of knowledge on the animals and birds, he also predicted their habits.  We saw the Big 5 many times, and many times they were up close and personal.  Simon's ability to spot these animals with his own eyes was remarkable.  Everything went smoothly from the pick-up to J-burg to the return to J-burg airport.  I would not hesitate to recommend  Wild Wings to anyone going to Kruger.

Beyond anything I could have expected

Hi Onne,

I just wanted to say thanks again for the work you and the consultants at Wild Wings put into organizing this trip for me.  It was amazing, and I was pleased to find that all our activities were organized and every transfer on time.  I especially want to thank Neil for the wonderful safari experience.  His knowledge and passion for the work shows in everything he does and I know that our trip was greatly enhanced because of this.  Though the time there was fantastic, the proof of just how excellent Neil is as a guide was  reinforced as we continued on to Victoria Falls and Cape Town.  You wouldn't believe how many envious fellow tourists we met as we described all we had witnessed at Kruger.  I even had one tell me they spent 15 days at Kruger and didn't manage to see all of the big 5 and yet we managed to do this in just a few short days.  No matter how much luck may be involved, there is no doubt Neil's knowlege about animal behaviours and his patience were key to making our trip so successful.  And it should be noted that in addition to the big 5 - Neil was able to spot many, many more amazing animals and birds making our safari a truly complete experience.

I was also quite impressed by Neil's willingness to accomodate each of us on the trip.  When Neil found out how my sister prefers her eggs, he set aside a special batch just for her for breakfast.  It was both thoughtful and completely unexpected - and I know she was taken aback and highly appreciative of his consideration.  It was this kind of special attention that we all enjoyed the entire trip and I must say was well beyond anything I could have expected.

Most spectacular vacation ever!

Dear Wild Wings, especially Neil,

My Sister Tricia and I just returned home from the most spectacular "Sisters' Vacation" ever! I just wanted to drop you a note and express my thanks. What an adventure! Neil, you were truly an incredible guide, and cook; thanks for the eggs From the open vehicle to the dinners and conversation everything was incredible. I learned so much, I have managed to even my surprise my know it all daughter! We saw it all! The big 5, and the incredible wild dogs, I never dreamed that we would see so much but Neil, you sure knew where to go. Thank you so much for everything, even for letting us help you in the kitchen! I promise it was all voluntary and I really enjoyed it. It gave us more time to chat and learn about the things we had seen that day. There are too few words that adequately express just how incredible this experience was! Thank you Wild Wings, and thank you thank you Neil! What an incredible time! We will be coming again but this time I'm bringing my family!

Thank you for your email and sorry it has taken me so long to reply.  It has been busy since getting back at the start of the year.
 
The trip was fantastic!  Neil and Valerie were fantastic guides and we had a great trip.  Everything was very organised and Neil had actually checked and seen that my flight had arrived early, so he arrived early at the airport to pick me up.  You could really tell that it was important to him that we had a good trip, and thanks to him, everything went really well and we did.  I actually saw more than I expected to see, but would also love to go back again in another season.  The food was great too!  :o)
 
I will try to send some photos once I have got them organised--something else on my list.
 
Thank you again for all of your help with the booking of my trip. I will definitely be in touch if I can manage to fit in another trip!

Absolutely amazing experience

Hi Wild Wings Team!

Wow! What an absolutely amazing experience. Thank you Onne for organising our Three Day Quickie tour of the Kruger Park on such short notice. Your professionalism and flexible approach to understanding our needs was just fantastic. Simon, Thank you. You far surpassed our expectations as our host. We had such a great Safari that it will be one of those life experiences that I will not forget.

Ok… for everyone else who might be reading this in an effort to decide who to book their tour with let me tell you some things about my experience. Before travelling to South Africa from Australia it had been very difficult to sort one tour company from another. I only had time for a three day Safari and quickly shortlisted those that were high hitters on a search. Checking the availability further narrowed the choices but knocked out Wild Wings who had consistently positive online reviews. I was left a little mystified. The few remaining choices didn't read so well. One in particular had numerous very bad reviews that included rude and impatient guides and poorly maintained vehicles. I decided to leave my decision until in Johannesburg but this made no difference and left me with very little time to make my booking. Thankfully I picked up the phone and called Onne to discuss my predicament. I wanted to Safari with Wild Wings but the published Safari dates did not coincide with my availability…...Onne had our Safari organised and confirmed in a matter of hours only 18 hours before we left the hotel for Kruger.

Simon is a brilliant guide. He is so incredibly knowledge and his passion for wildlife rivals that of the late Steve Irwin. We just had such a great time. Excellent food; The Big 5 and soooo much more; interesting and relevant information and a lot of laughs. The transport from Johannesburg was like new and the open vehicle was well equipped safe and reliable. A first class trip on an economy budget that I will never forget! Thank you again!!!

A guide extraordinaire

We have just returned home from our 9-week trip to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and French Polynesia. Without a doubt, the highlight of our trip was the 5-day safari to Kruger thanks totally to our guide Simon. He was always punctual, well prepared, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and obviously well respected by the other guides in the park. He is a guide extraordinaire.

We both had the most fantastic time on our safari at Inyati Game Lodge. It was truely the best holiday we've ever had. The lodge was beautiful, the staff really friendly and the wildlife out of this world. Our guide Piet and our tracker Nelson were exceptional. The only sad part was having to leave. It was really nice meeting you in person and we hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip. We owe you a big thankyou for recommending Inyati to us when the Kruger trip was full, as we had an unbelievable time and take some amazing memories back home to England with us. We would love to return to South Africa in the future, and when we do we will certainly us Wild Wings again and will recommend you to everyone at home.
