More About Tranquility Lodge
Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa's Garden Route, the Tsitsikamma National Park, Tranquility Lodge is true to its name and provides a haven of peace and luxury. The hamlet of Nature's Valley boasts one of the country's prime beaches - a mere 50 metres from the lodge, and is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The magnificent and well loved hiking trails with their unrivalled views of sea, forest, waterfalls and lagoon, will leave you breathless. Nature's Valley is also a top birding spot, whilst regular sightings of bush buck, bush pig and perhaps whales and dolphins will add even more value to your stay. The lodge offers complimentary use of double kayaks, ideal for exploring the beautiful estuary.
Tranquility lodge boasts seven double en-suite rooms, one of which is the honeymoon suite. All rooms feature double, king or twin beds, en-suite facilities (shower only or over-bath shower) and complimentary coffee, tea and freshly baked home-made biscuits. The superior double rooms also feature mini bars, selected DSTV channels, and a private deck area. We recommend the honeymoon suite if available! It offers a handmade yellowwood king size bed, double shower and spa bath en-suite, fireplace, selected DSTV channels, dvd and cd player, robes, slippers, large private deck, wall heaters, ceiling fan, private staircase going down to the swimming pool area.
Dining can be enjoyed on the outdoor deck, overlooking the lush indigenous garden and onto the top of the tree canopy - giving the feeling of being in a treehouse. The lodge has an open barbeque area next to the swimming pool. The village of Nature's Valley has a small shop and restaurant / bar, but it is not a vibrant town like Knysna. It will suit people who want to get away from it all and prefer natural beauty and tranquil scenery over shops, bars and nightclubs.
Tranquility Lodge is a popular honeymoon destination and has been voted South Africa's best honeymoon destination by the South African Bridal Industry Academy for 3 years running. The lodge offers a special 3-night honeymoon package, which is all-inclusive (please contact us for more information).
