More About The Elephant Hide of Knysna Guest Lodge
This luxury Knysna B&B is situated in an elevated position, high above the town and Knysna lagoon, making the best of the breathtaking views below. The lodge is located 3km outside the Knysna town centre. Elephant Hide is a great location for a dream wedding and honeymoon, and an excellent destination from which to explore the Garden Route area.
Nestled on a cliff top, the individually furnished and spacious suites are surrounded by indigenous fynbos. Four of the suites have spectacular views over the Knysna Lagoon from each corner of the room, whilst the fifth suite (whilst still enjoying lagoon views) is embedded in indigenous fynbos, giving it a hideaway feeling. Each suite is separate from the others, ensuring complete privacy. The rooms are large and airy with a separate dressing area. The en-suite bathrooms not only offer a big spa-style bath with a view, but also a fantastic wet-room style shower large enough for two people. Two suites can be transformed into family rooms sleeping two adults and two children. All suites offer air-conditioned rooms, heater, under-floor heating in the bathroom, satellite television, tea/coffee making facilities, bar fridges and wireless internet connectivity.
Breakfast is served on the deck overlooking the Lagoon. Expect to be spoilt by Elephant Hide's local chef, former lecturer at the Pru Leith College of Chefs. Meals can also be ordered in from any of the excellent restaurants and enjoyed in the privacy of your own suite.
The Elephant Hide of Knysna Guest Lodge is a mere 5 minutes drive away from the trendy Knysna waterfront, where you will find a host of activities like lagoon cruises as well as some of the best restaurants in the Garden Route. Knysna is one of South Africa's best loved travel destinations, situated in the heart of the beautiful Garden Route, with its lush forests and pristine beaches, lakes and rivers, lagoons and waterfalls, majestic mountains and laid back towns.
