Stanleys Camp consists of 8 semi-luxury safari tents, built on wooden platforms. Each unit is comfortably furnished with antique furniture with an authentic African feel. Guests are able to enjoy views over the surrounding floodplains from the private viewing decks, equipped with hammocks and loungers. En suite facilites (shower only), ceiling fans and a hairdryer are featured in each unit.
The location of Stanleys Camp ensures excellent game and bird viewing. The area is home to one of the largest populations of buffalo in the Okavango Delta as well as various predators. Expert safari guides conduct game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, which are able to go off-road to get closer to the animals. The daily program includes an early morning game drive, as well as an afternoon game drive which continues after dark with a powerful spotlight. Guests can also explore the area's waterways by mokoro (dug-out canoe) or by foot on guided walking safaris. At an additional cost, Stanleys offers a unique elephant interaction experience.
Stanleys Camp main lodge is a canvas structure raised on a wooden deck, built around two large trees, with a view over the surrounding floodplains. A walkway leads to the swimming pool which has even better views over the surrounding plains. Stanleys camp offers rustic accommodation and a traditional safari experience within Botswana's world-renowned Okavango Delta. The camp can only be reached by light aircraft from Maun, and the flight takes about 10 minutes.
