More About Ngala Safari Lodge
Ngala was the first private safari reserve to be incorporated in the world-famous Kruger National Park - the largest wildlife sanctuary in South Africa. With exclusive traversing rights over 14 700 hectares (36 323 acres) of Kruger's game-rich wilderness, Ngala offers an extraordinary African wildlife safari experience. Renowned for its exceptional Big Five game viewing, Ngala offers exhilarating twice-daily game drives in 4x4 safari vehicles and interpretive bush walks.
Ngala Safari Lodge is a classical colonial safari lodge, consisting of 20 thatched cottages located beneath a shaded canopy of immense Mopani and Tamboti trees, is renowned for its superb accommodation and old world charm. All 20 cottages feature air-conditioning, a private deck and a green slate ensuite bath and shower. The main guest areas are secluded in leafy woodlands. The spacious thatched lounge, bar and dining area offer a classic old-world haven in the midst of the African bush.
A spacious guest decking area with wonderfully comfortable armchairs offers you the opportunity to gaze out onto a busy waterhole and marvel at the incredible wildlife that visits it. The pool offers pure luxury, also with a view of the waterhole. During the evenings you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Africa's wilderness in the romantic lantern-lit courtyard.
Huge buffet breakfasts and sumptuous afternoon teas are served on an open deck, overlooking the busy waterhole, whilst the traditional African boma provides a dramatic setting for fire-lit dinners. Meals at Ngala are always a lavish affair, offering excellent Pan-African cuisine.
The exclusive Safari Suite offers its own sitting room and swimming pool, for those in need of even more personal space. The Safari Suite is ideal for honeymooners, featuring a spacious mahogany lounge, en-suite bathroom with outdoor shower, sole use of a safari vehicle and butler service. Private meals can be served on the large private deck.
