More About Kings Camp
Kings Camp offers guests luxury accommodation in 11 en-suite thatched suites. Each room is equipped with mosquito nets, tea and coffee making facilities and air conditioning. The en suite bathrooms feature a traditional Victorian bath as well as an al fresco double shower. There is a private veiwing deck with a hammock that offers a view over the nearby waterhole. Other room amenities include a fully-stocked mini bar, torch, hairdryer, umbrella, safe and telephone.
Activities at Kings Camp are led by resident rangers who will gladly impart their vast knowlege and love of the bushveld. Two game drives are offered each day. the early morning drive is preceeded by tea and coffee and the evening drive is accompanied by drinks and snacks for sundowners. Guided bush walks are available as well as bush breakfasts and dinners.
For those looking to indulge in some pampering, Kings Camp offers the Therapy Lapa where guests may enjoy various beauty treatments as well as rejuvenating massages. There is a well-equipped gym and conference facilities for guest's convenience. The main lodge area houses a thatched viewing deck that overlooks an active waterhole, a bar and an open plan lounge. There is a library and curio shop for guests to enjoy some browsing when relaxing at camp. For guests wanting to stay in touch and up to date, there is a television and internet facilities.
Lunch and dinner are served in the dining room or alternatively under the stars in the open boma area. World class cuisine is accompanied by wines from the wine cellar and specialised dietary requirements may be catered for on request.
Kings Camp is really a hidden gem, offering a luxury 5-star safari experience at rates that are below other comparable lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. We recommend Kings Camp without hesitation. Access to Kings Camp is by private charter flight direct to the lodge, or scheduled flight from Johannesburg to the nearby Hoedspruit Airport, followed by a short road transfer which we can arrange for you.
