Camp Shawu is situated in a private concession area within the famous Kruger National Park, South Africa. Named after a magnificent elephant bull that frequents the area, the camp offers luxury accommodation for only 10 guests, with beautiful views over the Mpanamana Dam. In the dry season, a variety of animals gather at the dam to drink. Camp Shawu shares a vast concession area with Camp Shonga and Shishangeni Lodge, in the south-eastern part of the Kruger Park which has an abundance of wildlife.

More About Camp Shawu
Camp Shawu offers guests pure African luxury. The camp has five air conditioned suites, with thatched roofs and authentic buffalo dung walls. Each suite includes an en-suite bathroom with an outdoor shower, a fireplace and a private patio that overlooks the Mpanamana Dam.
Guests can enjoy the finest open vehicle game drives that South Africa has to offer, and explore a wide variety of wildlife, including the Big 5. Two daily game drives are included. Bird watching is always very rewarding here. Self-drive safaris can also be done from Camp Shawu, on the Kruger Park's network of roads.
The lodge boasts a spacious lounge area, restaurant, bar and swimming pool, as well as a fantastic viewing deck overlooking the dam.
Access to Camp Shawu is by two hour road transfer from Nelspruit, or you can rent a car through us and drive yourself to the lodge.
