Camp Moremi accommodates 22 safari guests in 11 East African styled mosquito proof tents. All of these rooms are on teak platforms and exude luxury and elegance. Each room has a private bathroom located adjacently on the platform with hot showers, flushing toilet and bathrobes. In every room there are tea and coffee making facilities, electric fan to keep you cool, and a private viewing deck overlooking the spectacular Xakanaxa lagoon. The chairs, wardrobe, beside tables and dressing tables are all exquisitely crafted in Rhodesian teak. Extra guest comfort is ensured by the vivid woven rugs, superior quality linen and matching blinds. Camp Moremi offers a unique and luxurious experience of the one of the most diverse and impressive reserves in Botswana.

The focal point of the camp is the magnificent elevated Moremi Tree Lodge that rests in the cool shade of colossal ebony trees and overlooks the Xakanaxa lagoon. This includes the comfortable main lounge, dining room, a chic cocktail bar and a wildlife reference library. The Moremi Game Reserve is home to the most diverse animal populations in Botswana as it comprises the Okavango Delta, savanna areas, flood plains and perennial rivers. Game drives offer you opportunities to observe the species that abound within the reserve and within the extraordinary Okavango Delta.

Experienced and knowledgeable nature guides conduct game drives daily, in the morning and late afternoon. From the back of the open 4-wheel drive vehicles, there is always a good chance of coming across captivating species such as lion, elephant, leopard and buffalo. With some luck you can also see cheetah and wild dogs here. There are no perimeters or game fencing so wildlife moves freely within the reserve. Birding is especially rewarding from November-April, particularly in the Xakanaxa area. A chartered powerboat is available to those keen fishermen who wish to explore the local channels and the Xakanaka lagoon at their leisure.

All meals are inclusive at Camp Moremi and served in the dining room in the featured elevated Moremi Tree Lodge, overlooking the Xakanaxa lagoon. On occasional evenings, you may even be serenaded by the talented staff choir. Breakfast, brunch and high tea can be enjoyed in the shade of the thatched boma. Enjoy evening sundowners at the cocktail bar or an exhilarating dip in the swimming pool. Take refuge by the fire in the boma and become acquainted with the mysterious night noises or soak up the magnitude of natural beauty from the elevated observation platform. Camp Moremi ranks as one of the top safari lodges in the Moremi Game Reserve, in our opinion. It is well worth a visit and can easily be combined with other wonderful lodges in the Chobe National Park, Savute area, Okavango Delta or the Makgadikgadi National Park.
